Using the Excel POWER Function


The POWER function is used to return the result of a given number raised to a power. POWER is similar to an exponent in a standard math equation.


=POWER (number, power)

Syntax Breakdown

The number argument is required and is the base number. This can be any real number.

Power is also required and is the exponent to which the base number is raised. In Excel functions the "^" operator can also be used to produce the same result.
